First Assembly’s Life Development Process The Fastcar Life

What it Takes to Win in the Faith Lane!

If you are going to win in the Faith Lane, then you are going to have to build your spiritual car for success.

Having the right engine is very important in winning any race.  The engine gives the car the extra pull and speed.  What serves as our engine in life?  Worship is the element of life that empowers us to live at a greater power and speed.  When you worship God privately and corporately you rev the engine that He has given you.

The driver that is going to win the race must know how to handle the wheel.  The steering wheel is the tool that helps the racer to guide the car.  In the same way the principles of God’s Word guide our lives.  The Bible is the right wheel that will guide us through life.

The body of a race car is going to speed it up or slow it down.  In life the people that you hang with are either going to speed you up, slow you down, or bring you to a complete stop.  If you are going to reach your  destiny, then you are going to have to be plugged into the church, the body of Christ.

The wheel does the work and pushes the car forward.  It is where the rubber meets the road, and for the person wanting to find meaning in life, service is where this happens.  Your destiny is found in serving through the local church.  When you discover God’s purposes to live for, then you find what life is all about.

The door is where we invite people along for the ride.  If we are going to become the people that God wants us to be, then we are going to have to open our doors to others and invite them along for the ride.

How We Help You Build It!

We have broken this process up into check points that will help you measure your progress.

Class 101 - Introduction To Membership

God works through committed people—people that are committed to God and to each other.  Church membership is joining and committing to a group of people and a body of believers to help them accomplish the will of God for that church in the community.  It is also about supporting and training you for the personal role that God has called you to.  This class shows you the benefits of church membership, reveals our church missions and vision, and orients you to our church’s structure.

Class 201 - Introduction To Maturity

God has called all Christians to become mature in Christ.  This class will help you to grow deeper by learning how to read the Bible, pray, tithe, and connect to other believers.

Class 301 - Introduction To Ministry

Every Christian is called to serve, but many do not know who to minister to, how to minister, or where to minister.  This class is designed to answers these questions, as well as give you a solid theology of servanthood.

Class 401 - Introduction To Missions

God has given every Christian the mission of bringing people who do not know Jesus into relationship with him.  Yet many of us do not know how to prepare people to hear a gospel presentation or to explain salvation.  Often Christians do not know how the local church can assist them with their lost friends.  This class is designed to help every believer understand the full spectrum of evangelism.

Class 501 - Introduction To Leadership

God has called all Christians to learn to be leaders, and to rule and rein with Christ.  This leadership class is designed to help you learn the basics of leadership that will help you at work and at church.

If you are going to win in the faith lane, then it is going to require focus.  The apostle Paul said, “But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.  At First Assembly we call this attitude, “The One Track Mind."
